An 85-year-old man, Bhogeswar Bora, lost his life while taking a bath in the River Brahmaputra on Thursday morning. The incident occurred in Gayan village, located in the Majuli region of Assam.

Bora, a resident of the village, had a daily routine of bathing in the Brahmaputra, which flowed right beside his house on the river island. However, on that day, strong currents proved fatal as they swept him away.

Tragically, a few meters downstream from where he was last seen, Bora’s lifeless body was discovered on the river banks. Local sources confirmed the news.
