Dec 5, 2022: Four infants were reported dead in the Ambikapur Medical College in Chhattisgarh allegedly after electricity supply was disrupted for four hours.
According to ANI report, the four infants were in the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) of the medical college on Sunday night when the power outage happened which is reportedly the cause of death of the four infants.
Addressing the issue, The State Health Minister T S Singh Deo has announced a probe into the matter.
“I have instructed the Health Secretary to form a probe team. Going to Ambikapur Hospital to gather more information. Further action will be ensured after probe,” the state Health Minister said.
Investigation into the matter is underway.
