Dec 23, 2022: On Thursday, writers from Assam were nominated for the Sahitya Akademi Award 2022.
Well-known Bodo poet Rashmi Choudhury was honoured for her poetry collection “Sansrini Modira” and eminent writer & senior journalist Shri Manoj Kr. Goswami was honoured for his short story collection “Bhool Satya.”
On the other hand, Devojit Basumatary won the award for his Bodo-translated book “Kabuliwalani Bangali Biji” while Jury Dutta won the award for her Assamese-translated book “Kocharethi: Arya Nari.”
