BTR CEM, Pramod Boro, distributed over 700 saplings of dragonfruit to beneficiaries farmers Ashok Kr. Basumatary and Prashan Narzary of Daoliguri, Gossaigaon.
During the distribution ceremony, CEM Boro also inspected their farms and assured them of all necessary assistance from the Department of Agriculture for their endeavours.
The BTR administration aims to advance the agricultural industry by distributing Dragonfruit saplings as an incentive for farmers to shift to more profitable cash crops.
Agricultural pioneers Ashok Basumatary and Prashan Narzary serve as noteworthy examples for others to follow.
The CEM is urging farmers to emulate their example, with the aim of fostering growth and progress within the agriculture sector of BTR.
The event was attended by EM Ghanashyam Das and senior officials of the Government of BTR.
