Jintimani Kalita, a young woman from Assam, was given the opportunity to compete in the Women’s Premier League 2023.
Assam cricketer Jintimani Kalita from Mangaldoi was acquired by Mumbai Indians (MI) for Rs 10 lakhs in the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction held in Mumbai on February 13.
Jintimani entered the auction with a base price of Rs 10 lakh, and Mumbai Indians bought her for the same price.
Meanwhile, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur was acquired by the Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.8 crores.
