CEM of BTR Pramod Boro has taken a significant step forward in promoting science education with the introduction of the Bodoland Science Education Program (Gyan Swrang Bithankhi). This program, in collaboration with Agastya International Foundation and supported by Infosys Foundation, was formally inaugurated at the RCCC Auditorium in Bongaigaon, in the presence of Honorable Minister Shri Keshab Mahanta.
During the launch ceremony, CEM Pramod Boro also flagged off 9 Mobile Outreach Units, comprising 9 Mobile Science Labs (MSL) and 18 Lab on a Bike (LOB). These innovative units are set to revolutionize science education by delivering hands-on experiential learning to children and teachers in government schools across the four districts of BTR.
The event was also an occasion to acknowledge and felicitate the newly appointed Science Instructors.
Several notable personalities graced the event, including MLA Joyanta Basumatary, Captain Shanthi. S (Program Director-Education, Infosys Foundation), Kumar Padmanabhan (Head, Kuppam Creativity Campus, Agastya International Foundation), and other dignitaries.
