As part of the Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day programme, an interactive session with adolescents on health and nutrition issues was held at Balajan BPHC on March 20.
DC Kokrajhar Varnali Deka educated a gathering on the negative effects of child marriage and inspired adolescents to become ambassadors in the fight against social marriage.
Officials from SW, Health Department, and NTEP addressed the gathering, and important information such as helpline numbers were distributed.
Following the session, the adolescent girls were given free anaemia screenings and height-weight measurements.
