Kokrajhar: The Sahitya Akademi recently announced the distinguished winners of the highly anticipated 2023 awards.
Notably, two exceptionally talented female writers hailing from the BTR have been honored for their remarkable contributions, thus bringing laurels to the region.
Under President Madhav Kaushik’s guidance, the Sahitya Akademi’s executive board carefully evaluated and approved the recipients of the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2023. A total of 20 outstanding individuals have been selected for this prestigious accolade.
A forthcoming special event will serve as a platform to celebrate the accomplished awardees, where they will receive the esteemed Sahitya Akademi award. This distinguished recognition includes a casket containing an engraved copper-plaque, along with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.
Miss Mainaosri Daimary from Panery, Udalguri, has been honored with the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2023 for her remarkable Bodo poetry book titled ‘Som, Jiu, Arw…’.
Additionally, Pratima Nandi Narzary has been acknowledged with the Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Puruskar 2023 for her outstanding collection of Bodo short stories titled ‘Gosaini Gwjwn Nwjwr’.
