Kokrajhar: The All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) honored and awarded the 17th Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Award to thirteen students who achieved top 10 positions in this year’s High School Leaving Certificate examination from Bodo-medium institutions.
The event took place on May 30 at Kokrajhar Government Higher Secondary School in Kokrajhar.
During the ceremony, the students received a certificate, a traditional Bodo aronai, Rs 5000 in cash, and a dictionary each.
The event was graced by the distinguished guests, such as Dr. Manoj Kalita, the Principal of Krishna Kanta Handique Senior Secondary School Patshala, Dr. Surat Narzary, the President of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Krishna Gopal Basumatary, the Director of UN Academy, MLA Lawrence Islary, BTR executive members Ranjit Basumatary and Dr. Nilut Swargiary, and ABSU Vice President Kwrwmdao Wary, graced the occasion. These guest personally handed over the citations to the deserving students.
