The 8th Assam State Film Awards were announced on Friday in Guwahati, with honours given to the films from 2018 and 2019.
Assam cultural affairs minister Bimal Bora announced the awards at a press conference in Guwahati.
R.B. Film Production’s Boro film “Onnai” received the Moazin Ali Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role for Boro comedy actor Mr. Fwila J. Borgayary.
While Rajni Basumatary’s film “Jwlwi- The Seed” received two awards. The first award was for Outstanding Performance in a special just award, and the second award was for Best Film in Other Language in Assam.
The Boro community has advanced the Boro entertainment sector further with this fantastic news.
