Kokrajhar: On 26th April, a new initiative called ‘Bodoland Mart’ was inaugurated at Kokrajhar railway station.
The Mart is a part of ‘One Station, One Product’ scheme of the Indian Railway and was inaugurated by the CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro.
The ASRLM, Kokrajhar, in association with the District Administration, has installed the Mart, which will showcase and sell handcrafted products made by local Self Help Groups (SHG) across the district.
The ‘One Station, One Product’ scheme is a significant step towards promoting traditional industries and crafts at the railway station level, aimed at encouraging local entrepreneurship and preserving the cultural heritage of the region.
The launch ceremony was also attended by Varnali Deka, IAS, DC of Kokrajhar.
