Assam Defeats Hyderabad in Ranji Trophy

The match which was hanging with a tie until yesterday, gained a winner on December 30. Its a great news for Assam as it is still in the race to lift the Ranji Trophy 2022. The state’s cricket squad has defeated Hyderabad by 18 runs. It was a four day match took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Hyderabad.

Riyan Parag, who led Assam to victory over Hyderabad, was undoubtedly the shining star of the match. Initially, Assam was trailing in the first innings of the match. However, it made a tremendous comeback and won.

Assam had scored 18 runs by the end of the second inning. Riyan Parag dominated the competition with eight fours and six sixes. His outstanding performance with both and ball aided Assam’s victory.

Parag’s superb knock of 78 runs off 28 balls came at an opportune time. With this, Assam set a target of 252 runs for Hyderabad. Furthermore, on November 28th, Riyan Parag defeated Jammu and Kashmir, preventing them from reaching the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 semi-finals.

There was little hope for Assam to win the round at first, but the tables turned after the arrival of Riyan Parag and Rishav Das. This is the 88th edition of the Ranji Trophy, India’s premier first-class cricket tournament.

The event kicked off on December 13th and will last until February 20th, 2023. Parag’s outstanding performance in all of his matches has increased his fan base.

His fans are now calling for his inclusion in the Indian cricket team. He is astonishing everyone with his sharp cricket techniques.
