BTR Chief Executive Member, Pramod Boro, assumed a leadership role in addressing the current flood situation.
During the meeting, the CEM conducted a video conference with EM Shri Ranjit Basumatary, Secretary of Education, Director of Education, Inspector of Schools, district elementary officers, and senior officials from the Education Department of the BTR Government.
The primary objective of the meeting was to evaluate the resilience of the educational infrastructure in BTR amid the ongoing floods.
CEM Pramod Boro issued instructions to ensure that schools and colleges in BTR are adequately prepared to handle the ongoing flooding, safeguarding children’s education from any adverse consequences.
He also chaired a meeting with government officials to discuss the CEM’s Flood Relief Helpline and the measures undertaken by the BTR Government to tackle the region’s heavy rainfall and persistent flooding.
Furthermore, discussions were held regarding implementing new initiatives such as Social Audit and Financial Literacy Programmes, which aim to enhance the well-being of the residents of BTR.
