Kokrajhar: On March 24th, 2023, a prestigious award ceremony was held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakhetra in Assam, where the state’s highest civilian honors, the Assam Baibhav, Assam Saurav and Assam Gaurav awards were presented to deserving individuals.
Rustom Basumatary and Sarbeswar Basumatary, two individuals from BTR, have recently been awarded the Assam Gaurav award for their outstanding contributions towards society.
The contributions of Rustom Basumatary and Sarbeswar Basumatary towards the tourism and agriculture sectors in Assam are commendable.
Their work has not only helped in creating a more sustainable and equitable society but has also brought recognition to the region. Their efforts are a reminder that with dedication and hard work, one can bring about positive changes in society and make a difference in the lives of many.
The ceremony was attended by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Governor of Assam Gulab Chand Kataria and other dignitaries & notable personalities from the state.
