Kokrajhar: 20,000 Artists Set to Perform Bagurumba Dance in Assam, Aiming to Break Guinness World Record.
The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) Advisor, Kusum Swargiary, announced that the government of Assam is planning to showcase the Bodo community’s folk dance, Bagurumba, on a global platform by attempting to break the Guinness World Record with 20,000 artists performing the dance.
Following the successful Bihu dance performance at a single venue in Guwahati on April 14, the Bodo Sahitya Sabha and other Bodo organizations are already preparing for the mega dance event, which is scheduled to take place next year.
The performance aims to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Bodo community and bring it to the forefront on the world stage.
