March 20, 2023:
Kokrajhar: The fourth Asian Kho Kho championship 2023 kickstarted today, March 20, 2023, in Tamulpur.
The Indian National Anthem was sung after the guest was felicitated during the inaugural ceremony.
Furthermore, during the 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship Parade of Nations, participants and officials from each participating country marched in while flying the flag of their respective country.
Following that, participants take an oath, which is administered by Mrs Ranjana Saharia of Team India.
Dr. Sangita Kakati presented the team song, and cultural performances by various artists.
BTR CEM Pramod Boro; Sudhanshu Mittal (President of the Kho Kho Federation of India); Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kakati (General Officer Commanding-In-Chief Eastern Command, Indian Army); and Urkhao Gwra Brahma (Minister of Handloom and Textile) and many other dignitaries were in attendance at the opening ceremony.
