In a hit-and-run incident that happened in Baksa on January 31st night, a man was struck by a truck in Salbari district of Rongapani region.
Selopa Khumtari, a native of Rongapani, has been identified as the victim who has passed away.
Local police went to the scene as soon as the information was made public and intercepted the truck. However, the driver managed to escape the situation. Later, police sent the deceased’s body for the process of autopsy.
Meanwhile, the concerned department has initiated a manhunt to nab the driver of the truck.
