Kokrajhar: A ceremony held at the BTC Secretariat in Kokrajhar, where assistive Devices and Equipment Distributed to 50 Differently-Abled Children on June 6.
The event was organized by Samagra Shikha, Kokrajhar, and sponsored by the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
Executive members of BTC, Ranjit Basumatary and Reoreoa Narzihary, graced the occasion and personally handed over the aids and appliances to the children.
The distributed aids and appliances included wheelchairs, tricycles, hearing aids, Mental Retardation kits, blind sticks, Rollators, and CP chairs.
This initiative aims to enhance the mobility, communication, and overall well-being of differently-abled children, enabling them to lead more independent lives.
Jagadish Prasad Brahma, the Director of Education BTC, shared that a total of 750 differently-abled children, including 200 in Kokrajhar district, will benefit from this program.
The distribution of aids and appliances will be conducted in a phased manner across the four districts of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), ensuring that support reaches all those in need.
