Kokrajhar: BTR CEM Pramod Boro officially commenced the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 during a ceremony held at ITI Kokrajhar on May 23. This event was organized as part of the Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department’s (SEED) 100 Days 150 Targets Programme under the Government of BTR.
A total of 164 trainees have enrolled in various courses such as Assistant Electrician, Welder (GTAW), Beauty Therapy, Self-Employed Tailor, and Bamboo Work Artisan.
During the ceremony, CEM Pramod Boro also took the opportunity to felicitate 94 ITI pass-out trainees who secured placements through the Campus Placement drive, securing positions in prestigious companies like ITC Ltd. And Anvil Cables Pvt. Ltd.
In his address to the trainees, CEM Pramod Boro expressed his heartfelt congratulations and urged them to utilize the skills they have acquired to foster innovation and excellence in their respective fields. Emphasizing the importance of skill utilization, he encouraged the trainees to contribute to the growth and development of the region.
The launching ceremony was attended by notable personalities such as EMs Wilson Hasda, Dr. Nilut Swargiary, Ranjan K Baruah, SEED Advisor of BTC, Ujjwal Chaudhary, Project Head of Assam at Anvil Cables Private Limited, and officials from the SEED Department of the Government of BTR.
