In Kokrajhar district, a meeting was held at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner to tackle the issue of flooding. Under the leadership of DC Varnali Deka, the meeting focused on evaluating the situation and highlighting the importance of vigilance among officials.
During the meeting, there was a strong emphasis on assessing the condition of infrastructure, including roads and bridges, as well as identifying safe areas to protect livestock from the floods. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for officials to actively visit the affected regions and gather necessary information.
In addition, the District Administration made a heartfelt appeal to the public, urging them to refrain from littering and obstructing drains. By keeping the environment clean, everyone can contribute to mitigating the impact of flooding in the area.
Furthermore, a Relief Camp has been set up at 728No. Dhepdhepi LP School in Dotma Revenue Circle. This camp provided relief materials to 56 individuals who have been severely affected by erosion caused by the Gongia River.
