Kokrajhar: In a heartwarming ceremony held at the BTC Secretariat Complex in Kokrajhar, the Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Pramod Boro and Gautam Das, Executive Member of Women & Child Development Department, BTR, distributed 22 E-rickshaws among the differently-abled persons of BTR.
The event was organized by the Joint Director cum CHD Women and Children Development Department BTC Kokrajhar under the Manav Seva Mission scheme of Kokrajhar and Chirang district.
The aim of the scheme is to extend support and a helping hand to the citizens for earning their livelihoods, especially those who are differently-abled.
The distribution of E-rickshaws among the differently-abled persons of BTR is a significant step towards providing them with better opportunities for their economic and social development.
The scheme will not only help them become self-reliant but also aid in the reduction of poverty and unemployment in the region.
