Kokrajhar: BTR CEM Pramod Boro and Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika laid the foundation stone of the FMBAP Scheme today under Chirang WR Division.
Present at the ceremony were MLA Joyanta Basumatary, EMs Ukil Mushahary, Arup Kr. Dey, senior officials from the BTR government, WR Department and other dignitaries.
The scheme will ensure that the villages of Durgapur, Domgaon, Dababeel, Chotonilibari, Debargaon, Dangaigaon, Bhirengaon, Bherbheri, Rowmari, Khagrabari, Sanyashiguri, Uttarpopragaon, and Popragaon will be protected from erosion of River Aie.
The scheme will be constructed at a cost of Rs.125.21 crores.
