Assam’s ‘Gunotsav 2023’ initiative has seen a marked improvement in the quality of education, according to the results announced by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma.
The Gunotsav program was launched with the aim of enhancing the education system’s standard in the state.
This year’s initiative took place in three phases from 18 January to 18 February, during which over 41 lakh students were evaluated in 44,531 schools by 18,097 evaluators.
Compared to the previous year, this year’s results have shown a significant improvement.
Over 75% of schools received an A or A+ grade, compared to 46% in 2022.
The announcement of the results was made today by the Chief Minister during a press conference at Janata Bhawan, where he congratulated and thanked all those who participated in the initiative, including the schools, teachers, students, and education departments of Assam.
