Dec 10, 2022, Guwahati: According to reports, an Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-G) faculty member was found hanging in quarters on the campus on Saturday.
The individual was identified as Samir Kalam, a faculty member in the Mathematics department.
The institute will commission an internal investigation, as per reports.
Although preliminary investigations indicate that it may be a suicide, police have informed the media that investigations are on-going.
