March 8, 2023:
Every year on March 8, the world celebrates International Women’s Day; similarly, Kachugaon Anchalik ABSU celebrated Women’s Day at its headquarters.
At this event, many women leaders and activists were seen taking part, along with the women of the area.
The day began with morning prayer and the raising of the ABSU flag.
Floral tributes were then paid to the illustration of the first women martyrs of the Bodoland Movement, Gaide Basumatary and Helena Basumatary.
An open discussion about women’s rights and security ensued.
Following that, there was an open discussion about women’s rights and safety.
