KOKRAJHAR:“Mwihur” the first-ever International Theatre Festival in BTR, organised by Lwrgi Theatre Group, Kokrajhar & supported by BTR Govt. concluded on February 3 at Bodofa Cultural Complex, Kokrajhar.
The Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Cabinet Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma.
During the 7-day festival, renowned theatre artists from around the world performed 13 plays in various languages such as Bodo, Assamese, Nepali, Hindi, Sinhala, Malayalam, and others.
The festival’s final drama, ‘Rudali,’ was performed in Rajashthani by Gandhi Hindustani Sahitya Sabha and Sumukha, Delhi.
Guests and performers from different countries and states were housed in traditional hay huts (made of bamboo, hay, & mud), the main pandal was covered with banana leaf.
BTR Chief Pramod Boro and EM Reo Rheo Narzihary were also present in the programme.
