Assam is gearing up for a momentous occasion as the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, is set to inaugurate the newly constructed AIIMS Guwahati and virtually inaugurate three other medical colleges in the state on 14th April 2023.
This announcement was made by State Cabinet Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, who also mentioned that the event is expected to bring a significant change to the healthcare sector in the region.
The new AIIMS Guwahati will provide medical facilities to the people of Assam and nearby states, while the three new medical colleges in Nalbari, Kokrajhar and Nagaon will help in improving the accessibility of medical education to the youth of the state.
The virtual inauguration of the medical colleges will be a first-of-its-kind event in the region, and it is expected to be attended by many dignitaries.
The preparations for the event are in full swing, and the state government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the event is a grand success.
