Assam girl selected in Indian Team for 6th Roll Ball World Cup to be held in Pune

Alisha Farheen who hails from Abhayapuri in Bongaigaon district of Assam is selected for Indian team for the 6th Roll Ball World Cup 2023. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat.

Alisha’s dedication and hard work towards Roll Ball for the last 10 years have paid off, and it is inspiring to see young talents like her representing India on the global stage. She has represented Assam on the National level for more than 13 tournaments including the Student Games Federation in India (SFGI) Nationals and has won several medals on state and national level.

Apart from Alisha, the inclusion of Anurag Basfor from Assam in the standby list of the men’s team is also commendable and showcases the growing popularity of Roll Ball in the region.

The 6th Roll Ball World Cup 2023 is set to take place at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Pune, Maharashtra from 21st – 26th April, 2023.

The event is being organized by Roll Ball Federation of India (RBFI) & Maharashtra Roll Ball Association (MRBA) under the aegis of International Roll Ball Federation (IRBF). With 40 teams from 5 Continents expected to participate, the event is poised to be one of the biggest in the history of the sport.
