NTPC Bongaigaon, located at Salakati in Kokrajhar, has been awarded for their outstanding performance in the recently held CEE (Council of Enviro Excellence) National Thermal Power Plant Awards 2023.
The power plant was recognized as the best performing unit in the IPP category (Coal) below 250 MW and for best operational excellence IPP (Coal) – Best power generator of the year (Public Sector).
The award ceremony was held virtually on 13th -14th March, 2023, in Mumbai.
NTPC Bongaigaon was acknowledged for their exceptional unit performance, efficiency, and reliability, and their performance in the year 2022.
The Business Unit Head of NTPC Bongaigaon, Karunakar Das, received the awards on behalf of the station from Ekonthung Ngullie, AGM (EMG, Ash Utilization and O&M/Civil) and officials of EMG Deptt.
Expressing his happiness over the achievement, Karunakar Das congratulated the Department and the station for their hard work and dedication in achieving the recognition.
He motivated the team to continue the good work in all areas of operations, keeping safety as the topmost priority.
