Kokrajhar: In a historic move, the Assam Assembly is set to hold its session in Kokrajhar this year, marking the first time the session will be held in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
As part of preparations for the session, the Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA), Biswajit Daimary, visited the BTC Secretariat on April 10.
During his visit, Daimary inspected the infrastructure of the BTC Secretariat and participated in initial discussions on the upcoming activities at the site.
The Summer Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly is expected to be a crucial event, with lawmakers expected to debate and pass important legislation that could have far-reaching implications for the region.
The meeting was also attended by other prominent figures, including the Speaker of the BTC, Katiram Boro, MLA Lawrence Islary, EM Reo Rewa Narzihari, officers from BTC and District Administration and the Assam Assembly.
