Dec 16, 2022: On the initiative of the Kokrajhar district administration, a press conference was held on Wednesday at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kokrajhar, as part of the ongoing week-long program to celebrate the second anniversary of the present BTC government.
Executive Members of BTR Rakesh Brahma, Arup Kumar Dey and Wilson Hasda addressed the media as spoke persons of the BTR government on the implementation of various schemes, as well as the steps taken by the present BTC government in the last two years to deliver peaceful, green, and smart Bodoland to its people.
During the press meet, Rakesh Brahma informed that 678 km of roads worth Rs 500 crore have been constructed so far under Goodwill Project Phase-I and a decision has been taken to construct another 785 km of roads with Rs 500 crore to be received in March under Goodwill Project-II. He also informed that 250 health sub-centres and 550 LP school buildings will be renovated by March 2022 and in addition interviews for grade-III posts of BTR will be conducted soon and many DPRs will be finalized based on the BTR agreement by March.
E.M. Arup Kumar Dey, speaking to media stated that the present BTC government has prioritised the development of medical facilities in Baksa, Udalguri, and Tamulpur districts as these districts had been deprived of this sector during the last government’s 17 years ruling.
Likewise, Wilson Hasada stated that his government is celebrating the present BTC government’s second anniversary with a week-long programme highlighting various development projects completed over the last two years. He also invited everyone to be a part of this celebration and witness the grand celebration on December 20 at the BTC Secretariat field in Kokrajhar.
