The meeting held on June 13th at the Conference Hall of the BTC Secretariat in Kokrajhar, BTR, marked an essential step in preparing for the highly anticipated Durand Cup 2023. Chaired by BTR CEM Pramod Boro, the meeting brought together key individuals responsible for organizing the tournament and ensuring its success.
EM Shri Daobaisa Boro, MLA Shri Lawrence Islary, MCLA Shri Madhab Chetry, and senior officials from various government departments of BTR were among the attendees, demonstrating the collective effort and commitment to making the Durand Cup a memorable event for the football-loving community of BTR.
The Durand Cup is recognized as one of India’s most prestigious and oldest football tournaments. It serves as a platform to showcase the immense talent and skill of teams from all corners of the nation, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship.
During the Preparatory Meeting, the participants engaged in fruitful discussions to plan and coordinate the arrangements for the upcoming tournament.
