Kokrajhar: The government of the BTR is observing Martyrs Day today to honour and remember the sacrifice of Sujit Narzary, who is recognized as the first martyr of the Bodoland movement.
It is an annual event dedicated to honouring the 36th death anniversary of Sujit Narzary, who played a prominent and respected role in the struggle for Bodoland’s autonomy.
He was born on January 8, 1972, and tragically died on June 12, 1987, at 15.
BTR CEM, Pramod Boro, expressed his tribute to Lt. Sujit Narzary on his official page, and several other prominent leaders also paid their respects on this momentous day.
