The Indian women’s hockey team has made history by securing a remarkable victory in the Women’s Junior Asia Cup held in Kakamigahara, Japan. With an outstanding performance in the final match, India defeated South Korea with a score of 2-1. The team’s exceptional display of skill and determination has earned them well-deserved accolades and opened doors for their participation in the upcoming FIH Women’s Junior World Cup in Chile.
As a token of appreciation, the Hockey India association has rewarded the players and support staff for their dedication and hard work. The Hockey India association has announced that each player of the victorious Indian women’s hockey team will receive a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh.
Additionally, the support staff, who played a crucial role in the team’s success, will be honored with a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh. This achievement has secured their qualification for the highly anticipated FIH Women’s Junior World Cup in 2023, to be held in Chile.
