Dibrugarh: The book release and spirit awarding ceremony of the “Sonowal Kachari Youth and Cultural Mahotsav 2023,” which was organized by the Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council on March 26 at Halali coordination field of Dulia Dainijan of Dibrugarh district
The Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council promoties and preserves the rich cultural heritage of the Sonowal Kachari tribe, one of the most important tribes of Assam.
It is crucial to recognize and appreciate the efforts of the current youth in taking the initiative towards the conservation of their culture, language, literature, and excellence.
The Union Minister handed over Uddipana Award to a deserving individual for making significant achievement in their respective fields.
A book by the title ‘Sonowal Sambhar’ was also inaugurated by Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The book is a memorial which was published on the occasion of Sonowal Kachari Youth & Cultural festival.
The event was graced by the presence of several prominent dignitaries, including Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of State Rameshwar Teli, Chief Executive Member of Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council Tankeshwar Sonowal, Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University Dr. Jiten Hazarika, renowned vocalist Mr. Jitul Sonowal and ALA Speaker Biswajit Daimary.
