In a shocking incident, an unidentified dead body has been recovered in lane number 13 at Kinara-Kata, Basistha in Guwahati on Thursday.
According to sources, the locals suspect that some miscreants murdered the person and left the body there. Meanwhile, a variety of objects were reportedly found close to the body.
Moreover, it has come to light that the deceased person was a local driver by profession but his identity yet to be verified.
The local police arrived at the site after receiving the information and the body was sent for post-mortem.
The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
