Eaelier, Lionel Messi, made the final, having beaten Croatia 3-0 in the semifinal. Meanwhile, defending champions France surpassed Morocco 2-0 in the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Thursday.
Argentina’s Lionel Messi and France Kylian Mbappe, are also in the race to win the FIFA World Cup 2022 Golden Boot award as well.
Mbappe is the leading goal-scorer in this edition of the World Cup, with five goals to his name. He is currently tied with Argentina’s Lionel Messi for the Golden Boot, which is awarded to the highest goal-scorer in a single tournament. Mbappe’s countryman Olivier Giroud is third, with four goals.
